Scott Stegeman Obituary

Scott Allen Stegeman, known affectionately as Scott to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024, in his hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 11, 1965, in Reading, he was a son of the late Gerald and Mary Stegeman.

Scott's life was one marked by the simple pleasures and the joy he found in the everyday. His presence was a source of comfort and laughter to all who knew him, and his absence will be deeply felt. Scott's love for the outdoors was evident to anyone who had the pleasure of joining him on one of his bike rides or while he was patiently waiting for a catch at his favorite fishing spot. His passion for these activities was only matched by the joy he took in sharing them with others.

A resident of the Ephrata area, Scott was a familiar face to many. He was often found enjoying the company of his friends, simply sharing stories and making memories. Scott's ability to make everyone he met feel like an old friend was one of his most remarkable traits.

Scott's legacy is carried on by his beloved sister, Donna, and his four devoted brothers, John, Jack, Terry, and Jason. His spirit is joined with that of his oldest brother, Gerald Jr., who preceded him in death, as well as his parents.

Even in his final days, he faced his illness with a grace and dignity that served as a testament to his character. Scott's life was a reflection of the values he held dear: love of family, friendship, and an appreciation for the simple joys of life.

As we say goodbye to Scott Allen Stegeman, we celebrate a life well-lived and cherish the time we were fortunate enough to spend with him. His gentle spirit and kind heart have left an indelible mark on the world, and for that, we are all grateful.

In honoring Scott's journey, we take solace in knowing that he is at peace, free from pain, and was welcomed home in the arms of Jesus. Scott will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As scripture notes in Philippians 3:20; for our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his graveside service on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton, PA.
