Shirley A. Dries

Shirley Dries passed away suddenly on December 23, 2022 at the age of 84.  She was the daughter of Solon and Stella Hess of Reading. 

She became the beloved wife of Donald Dries on May 27, 1961.  The made their way to Pennsburg PA and built a Gentleman's Farm together for 55 years. 

There they raised 4 daughters, Denise Christman (George Trego), Christine Berkenstock (Rich Heimbach), Gail Boltz (Brad), Pam Meyer (Craig) and an assortment of animals. 

Shirley was blessed to have 14 Grandchildren Ernie Christman (Lisa), Michael Christman (Christie), Tim Christman (Julie), Vanessa Effrig (Paul), Jessica Christman (Ronnie

Reith), Darrick Smale (Brian), Lacy Matthews (Jamie), Dalton Smale (Julia), Chasitty Biehn (Bob), Kelsey Blotz (Josh), Kylie Boltz, Alex Ramsey (Lauren), Ryan Ramsey

(Liz) and was blessed to have 15 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers Carl and Russel Hess, a grandchild

Courtney Smale and a great grandchild Bryson Biehn.  Private services will be held at a later date
