William A. Abrams, known to family and friends as Bill or Billy, passed away on April 9, 2026 after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Bill is survived by his sister, Dianne Showers, and her husband, Dave; sister-in-law, Susan(Worley) Abrams; loving niece Jacqueline (Abrams) Manzer and her husband, Benjamin; and cherished great-niece, Cora Manzer, as well as many Naugle cousins and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Lois (Kiser) Abrams, as well as his brother, Robert Abrams.
Born on August 22, 1956, Bill grew up in Berks County, PA where he learned the value of family, friendships, and hard work. Bill was a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School in Shillington where he served as President of the Future Farmers of America organization.
In 1985, Bill relocated to Centre Hall, PA and began working at Gettig Pharmaceutical Instrument Company. After many years of dutiful service, he became the President of Spring Mills Manufacturing. Bill approached his work with seriousness and commitment and proudly led his outstanding employees each and every day.
Bill was an avid golfer, serving as a board member for the Centre Hills Country Club for many years. Bill treasured the time spent with friends on and off the course, endlessly engaging in good-natured ribbing. While his wit was quite remarkable, Bill’s kindness and loyalty were even greater traits.
At home, Bill enjoyed cooking, praising the sous vie method. He took pride in gifting homemade cookies during the holiday season, keeping his mother’s recipes alive. The Naugle family reunions will not be quite the same without his take on Aunt Bert’s coffee cake.
Bill’s legacy of hard work, generosity, and love will continue on in the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by family and friends.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home in Mohnton, PA.
