Carol J. AgstenNovember 1, 1934
Carol J. ( Keller) Agsten, widow of Larry who passed on Aug. 21, 2014, and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, left us to be with all her family in heaven in the morning hours of January 8, 2018.
Carol was born in Reading, a daughter of the late Leon & Catherine ( Tobias) Keller on November 1, 1934. She was a 1952 graduate of Shillington High School. From there she worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson's & at Moore's Diner on Lancaster Ave. Later in life she worked at Berk-Tek when the plant was in Reading.
While in their working years, Carol and her husband also built up a prosperous and large Amway Distributorship. Their career in Amway took Carol and her family on many trips they fondly remember, and established many wonderful lifelong friendships that the family cherishes.
Upon retirement, Carol and her husband took up residency to the area they loved - the Ocean View, Delaware community. While here, Carol became involved in her neighborhood and very involved with her faith family at Community Lutheran Church which became the core of her life.
Carol is survived by her two children: Lori Weeks, companion of Brett Meck, Sinking Spring; Jody, companion of Donna Putt, Mohnton; 6 grandchildren: Jolene, wife of Michael Stankiewicz; Katie, wife of Jonathan Hole, Myrte Beach, SC; Wendy, wife of David Harenza, Shillington; Stephen, Luke, Cora all home; 3 Great-Grandchildren; Emma Stankiewicz, Emberlyn & Wesson Harenza.
